Consumables are items distinguished by their ability to be used exactly once (in contrast to a Mineral Scanner) and on their own (in contrast to Ammunition).

Consumables can be acquired on Prospect Station or found on the surface. While packing, you have to balance the added weight and consumed space with the added utility. It is generally recommended to bring Medical consumables on trips to the surface.

Medicine[]

Medicine is used to heal the player during rounds. They take some time to administer.
